It was the Sun

Things are at once looking good again...my back is feeling better, still has a slight twinge to it but overall almost back to abnormal. Yesterday was Easter, who cares? I don't. After the rain in the morning, the clouds parted and the warm Sun heated everything so nicely. I wanted to go out and run around, be active and sweat up a storm. Instead I sensibly went to the gym and rode the bike, then did lots of stretching for my back and booty on the floor. The day was relaxing, M and J prepared lots of food for eating, it was an anti-Jesus fest, foods in reference to his bloody death and bloody return(I guess?...or his hatching from an egg, who cares?). It was all tasty treats that molded my body into the shape of Buddha. We also had visits from V and M, just stopping by to say hi, we offered them food but they were on their merry way to other engagements. How dare they! Thankfully they did do their parts in polishing off some of the cupcakes that have been haunting our kitchen. I swear, if I have to eat yet another cupcake...I'm going to fucking explode.

I finally got started working on Archivist Toolkit at my internship on Saturday. I took a break from the larger collection I've been slaving away on and was given a smaller photo collection to process that day (<--a picture from the collection to the left). It was a breeze, imagine getting to process materials that are actually in order and labeled! O_o Totally the opposite of the stuff I've been working with for the past couple months. Anywhoo I learned about AT and how to use it in conjunction with the One's standards, it's not too hard but there are some tricks to using it. I'm just glad I got some exposure to it, hopefully I'll be using it again in the future with the Bill Miller collection...assuming I'm still interning there this summer. I do plan on continuing there, but to what extent I'm not exactly sure. I am inspired to continue to help out there, plus it's awesome on the job experience, but not having Saturdays off is kinda rough. Maybe I'll figure out something like only two Saturdays a month? Yah? Probably.

In other Gay Gay Gay! News: I'm doing the OC Aids Walk this weekend! So far I've raised about $751, my goal was $1,000 but I'm not too sure if I'll make it by this weekend. Oh well, at least I did better than the last time I participated, maybe next year I'll reach the 1,000 mark.

On the web again...

So here we are with a new blog before me, it's been awhile since I've written a blog focusing solely on my personal life. I had for the longest time been writing over at LJ, I started that blog back in 2003 during my last year as an undergraduate at UCSD. It was an interesting outlet for myself at the time, keeping instep with my studies in Visual Arts, the blog was just a dumping ground for ideas, rants, and musings. I will definitely be continuing with such entries here, but who knows what this might turn into. Much of my life has changed since I posted my first entry on LJ, clearly I'm older, somewhat wiser, but also my perceptions are different. It's not that I feel completely different that the person I was 7 years ago, but I've definitely changed. I've also wanted to start blogging again out of the need to focus some of my ideas. Lately with being back in school and trying to keep up with my social life and interests, I feel so jumbled when it comes ...
