I finally got started working on Archivist Toolkit at my internship on Saturday. I took a break from the larger collection I've been slaving away on and was given a smaller photo collection to process that day (<--a picture from the collection to the left). It was a breeze, imagine getting to process materials that are actually in order and labeled! O_o Totally the opposite of the stuff I've been working with for the past couple months. Anywhoo I learned about AT and how to use it in conjunction with the One's standards, it's not too hard but there are some tricks to using it. I'm just glad I got some exposure to it, hopefully I'll be using it again in the future with the Bill Miller collection...assuming I'm still interning there this summer. I do plan on continuing there, but to what extent I'm not exactly sure. I am inspired to continue to help out there, plus it's awesome on the job experience, but not having Saturdays off is kinda rough. Maybe I'll figure out something like only two Saturdays a month? Yah? Probably. In other Gay Gay Gay! News: I'm doing the OC Aids Walk this weekend! So far I've raised about $751, my goal was $1,000 but I'm not too sure if I'll make it by this weekend. Oh well, at least I did better than the last time I participated, maybe next year I'll reach the 1,000 mark.
