Night Drawings

A quick posts of some drawings I completed tonight at the LGBT center figure drawing class.  Good to get back into this class after a long break.  I pleased with these 20 minute drawings, I typically get into line and form, but an starting to think more about spacial aspects of the body.

Returning to The Wild

Documenting life in apocalyptic Los Angeles.  I've been here about 2 years now, after many great years in Long Beach.  Life in LA is weird, I still am adjusting to the idea that I am here.  It was definitely a no-brainer to relocate, when a great job comes along...one that serves both your financial and creative outlet, you got to give it a whirl.  Having grown up in the greater LA area, the glamour and the glitz has little to no effect on me.  Especially now working at a job that is quite fancy and prestigious, it has more of a strange effect on me.  I tend to forget that I work somewhere that many people wish they could be at.  Alas, I approach work all the same, regardless of the company or level of exclusivity.  I do have to stop compartmentalizing everything, rather than a numb effect, it just takes me out of the present.
